Woman arrested for stealing cat and SUV in Richland
RICHLAND, Wash. — Pasco Police arrested Ashley D. Younger on Friday after receiving reports there was suspicious activity on the 4800 block of Tamarisk Drive in Richland. Younger was inside a GMC Acadia SUV, she claimed was a friend’s car. Officers found a cat in the backseat that Younger claimed she rescued.
The owner of both the cat and the vehicle contacted Pasco Police on Saturday to report their SUV was stolen while they were on vacation, along with their pet cat. The cat was turned over to Animal Control to await pick-up from its owners.
Younger was arrested on outstanding warrants and on new charges. Police said Younger is facing a new felony charge of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
