Woman killed in Idaho avalanche identified as Oregon neurosurgeon

PORTLAND – A woman who died in an avalanche in northern Idaho this week was a neurosurgeon at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland.

KATU News reports that Dr. Molly Hubbard was a fellow in pediatric neurosurgery at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

She was the third person whose body was recovered on Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho following an avalanche on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
