WSP: 3 people ditch car in Richland hit-and-run crash
RICHLAND, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run collision that happened at the intersection of State Route 240 and Duportail Street on Wednesday.
Trooper Chris Thorson said at 11:11 a.m., troopers received a call about a four-door sedan that rear-ended a Chevy Suburban. Thorson said the driver and two passengers ditched the car and ran into an apartment complex. A fourth person who was in the car stayed behind.
One person in the Suburban received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Shortly after the crash, troopers located two suspects at the apartment complex. One of them had a felony arrest warrant.
A third suspect is on the run.
WSP is investigating with help from Richland Police.
