YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Police Department is looking for two suspects after robbing a Conoco gas station at gunpoint Monday morning.

Around 5:18 a.m., a man entered the Yakima Conoco on S. 3rd Ave. and W. Mead Ave. with a handgun. The suspect is described as 5’9″, 160 pounds and wore a bandana to cover his face.

One employee and one customer were inside of the Conoco when he brandished the handgun and demanded money from the cash register. Another suspect waited outside in a silver Acura.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the two suspects fled the scene, driving recklessly westbound. Officers followed the vehicle for about four minutes before losing sight of the vehicle.

A K-9 unit was then dispatched and they found the silver Acura abandoned on 32nd and Mead Ave. The two suspects are still on the loose.
