Yakima County rollover crash kills 23-year-old man
YAKIMA, Wash. — Yakima County deputies are investigating a fatal rollover crash that took the life of a 23-year-old man and injured another.
On Saturday afternoon, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office was called out to a single-vehicle rollover accident near Pioneer Way and Mahoney Road. Deputies say the 18-year-old driver lost control of the car and rolled several times.
The driver was sent to the hospital with possible broken bones. The 23-year-old passenger died at the scene.
According to the sheriff’s office, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The 23-year-old man was still wearing his seatbelt when he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation. The driver’s condition is unknown.
