Yakima police arrest second suspect involved in May homicide
YAKIMA, Wash. — Yakima police have arrested a second murder suspect involved in a drive-by shooting back in May.
Police said 19-year-old Jeremiah Peralez was driving the SUV that struck 31-year-old Emilio Phelan shortly before he was shot by 17-year-old Pedro Solis who was also arrested last week.
Phelan was killed near the corner of Peach Street and Cornell Avenue on May 19th while riding his bicycle.
Authorities said he was killed after the suspects saw him flash a rival gang sign.
Prosecutors have charged Peralez and Solis with first-degree murder.
