Yakima’s Stop N Go Drive-In reopens Feb. 15, months after devastating fire

YAKIMA, Wash. — Stop N Go Drive-In will celebrate its grand reopening on Saturday, Feb. 15, after a devastating fire in July forced the restaurant to close.

The old family business has been serving the community at the corner of 29th and Fruitvale for decades. Since the fire, the owners have spent the last several months remodeling.

Photos on Stop N Go’s Facebook page show that the restaurant was virtually gutted and rebuilt from the ground up.

On Monday, the owners announced that the restaurant will be back open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting on Saturday. On that day, customers will get a free baby ice cream cone with every food purchase.

“Huge thank you to everyone for your support and love over the last 7 months,” a Facebook post said. “This has been a difficult road for us all and we’re super grateful for the community.”
